About The We Run Richmond 5K

The We Run Richmond 5K is a Running race in Richmond, California consisting of a 5K.

This is a community event, where we'd like to see the entire community come together for a good cause.The goal of this event is to raise enough money to purchase at least 200 backpacks filled with school supplies so that we can provide elementary aged students in Richmond with the tools they need to feel confident and prepared in the classroom. We will be working with elementarys throughout Richmond to identify which students would benefit most from the backpacks we provide i.e students who would otherwise not have a backpack at all or students with old/damaged backpacks.This year we will be working towards a goal of providing 10 college bound studentsKeep Reading with $1,000 scholarships.

The We Run Richmond 5K is presented by Moving Forward for Our Future, a group of community members, local businesses, and the Richmond SOL Soccer Club. This is a non competitive 5K Fun Run/Walk.
