The Run For The Galgos is a Running race in Brisbane, California consisting of a 10K and 5K.
The annual Run for the Galgos is a fun run/walk dedicated to raising funds for charities in Spain working to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Spanish greyhounds (galgos) around the world. Why galgos? It is estimated that 60,000 galgos are abandoned or killed every year at the end of hunting season. This run is to help volunteers and rescuers on the ground working to save dogs and enact legislation to end the abusive practices galgos endure.
This year's event will take place along the beautiful San Francisco Bay Trail. Beginning at the Brisbane Marina, participants will run South on a flat, fast, yet scenic out-and-back route along the completely paved trail.Keep Reading
