The Runner's Den Pancake Run is a Running race in Phoenix, Arizona consisting of a Kids Run/Fun Run.
We hope you will join us to enjoy the rich history and competition at one of the oldest and most popular events on the Valley running calendar. IHOP joins us again to serve-up their fantastic pancake breakfast and help us create the best atmosphere possible. Our goal each year is to stage a great event; merging a competitive race with a family-fun atmosphere. With four different activities available and some of the best pancakes on earth, we've tried to include something for everyone. Remember, the event is limited to the first 2,000 participants so enter early if you are planning to join us.
The 5K, 10K and Double Stack events are open to everyone with no minimum age. Top male/female over-all winners of the a10K/5K & Double Stack will be presented custom awards. In addition, the top three finishers of the 5K & 10K in each of the following age groups will receive custom made medals: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. The 5K Walk is chip-timed and will be scored as part of the 5K Run.
aaaThe Double Stack will present awards to the top three finishers (combined times of the 5K and 10K) in the following female and male age divisions: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
Double Stack entrants are eligible for age group awards in the Double Stack and the 5K/10K races in addition to the over-all Champion awards of both races. Double Stack finishers will receive (1) custom branded Double Stack finisher's medal.
10K RUN 7:30am
The 10K USAT&F certified course (#AZ12019JOE) is a flat, blazingly fast loop. There will be split times each mile with four aid stations appropriately placed. All participants will receive a chip generated finishing time with individual, age-group and over-all placing. To avoid course conflicts between the two events and area businesses/Churches/Temples, there is a 90 minute time limit to complete the 10K course. (14:31 pace)
aWater will be available at (4) locations: approximately 1.25m, 2, 3.5m, 5m
Potential overall race winners (men 5:30 per mile, women 6:30 per mile) will be placed in a starting pen at the front of the pack prior to the start.

The 5K event is open to all runner's and fitness walkers. The course is USAT&F certified (#AZ16021JOE), flat and fast. All participants will receive a chip generated finishing time with individual, age-group and over-all placing. Separate starts to avoid congestion. Water will be available at (2) locations: approximately 1.25m & 2.25m
aTo ease congestion at the 5K start, (4) waves at one minute intervals will be staged. Waves will be sectioned off with flagging by race staff once participants are in the start pen.a
Potential overall race winners (men 5:30 per mile, women 6:30 per mile) will be placed in a starting pen at the front of the pack prior to the start.
DOUBLE STACK
This ever growing event is becoming one of our menu's specialties. The Double Stack is for those of you interested in adding to the challenge. Simply put, you run both the 5K and the 10K runs and your finish times will be combined and then ranked against other Double Stack competitors. There will be 90 minutes between the starts of the two events so you will have to figure out a strategy balancing out your pacing and recovery time to produce your over-all best time. a

Double Stack entrants are eligible for age group awards in the Double Stack and the 5K/10K races in addition to the over-all Champion awards of both races. Last year, 18% of the competitors chose to Double Stack it. Why not give it a try and see how you stack up? Double Stack finishers will receive (1) custom branded Double Stack finisher's medal.
Baby strollers are welcome in both the 5K and 10K events. For safety and to ease congestion at the start, strollers are asked to line up to the rear of the field. We appreciate your cooperation. We are sure you understand.
aFINISHER'S MEDALS
All 5K, 10K & Double Stack finishers will receive a large (4) custom designed finisher's medal.
aDouble Stack participants will receive their (1) custom branded Double Stack medal when finishing the 5K event.
aThe top male & female over-all winners of the 5K, 10K and Double Stack will be presented custom made awards. In addition, the top three finishers of each of the following age groups will receive custom made medals: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. Additional older divisions will be added if a minimum of (3) entrants of that 5 year age group register. The 5K Walk is timed and will be scored as part of the 5K Run. In total, 240 age group and six over-all awards will be presented.a
