Eaglecrest Road Race - Juneau, Alaska - Running

The Eaglecrest Road Race is a Running race in Juneau, Alaska consisting of a 1 Mile and 5 Miles.

The race is fundraiser to support the Juneau Ski Club alpine race team (http://www.juneauskiclub.com) to help with travel costs and club equipment. This race is also supported by Juneau Trail and Road Runners.

There are four different distances again this year! The full 9.5 mile course, the 5 mile road only course, the 4.5 mile mountain only course, and the 1 mile course. Transfers between distances are allowed. The road portion starts near bottom of Fish Creek Rd and runs up paved road to Eaglecrest Ski area parking lot for an approximate distance of 5 miles. The mountain portion starts in the Eaglecrest Ski area parking lot and runs up the ski area service road to the Eagles' Nest. From the Nest, run out toward Pittman's ridge to the junction with the trail that comes up from Black Bear Chairlift. Run down to Black Bear Chair and onto the ski area service road and continue back down to parking lot. The trail will be marked on race day along the ridge. The mountain portion is approximately 4.5 miles.

Full course runners start at 9am and run both the road and mountain portions. Road only runners start at 9 am with full course runners. Mountain only runners start at 9:30am. 1 milers start at 9:30am in the Eaglecrest parking lot.
