The swimming portion runs parallel to the beach and the waves are typically small so early in the morning.
The bike portion has a beautiful 11.1 mile course along the Lake Minnewaska and beautiful views and the run is 2.5 miles
out and back along the Lake and finishes by a soccer field.

Great race. Thought it was put together nicely. The parking and shuttle was very convenient compared to other races. I enjoyed the crowd support was great. I heard a ton of great things about this race so I was pleased to have my first marathon be with the Marines. Will definitely

I've run this race 15 times! It's well organized and in a spectacular location. Meb, Bill Rogers, Joan Benoit have run this race in the last few years. The course is breathtaking. Pre- and Post-race activities are plentiful. It's a great weekend destination. If you want to read my full review,
