"This is the 2nd year I have run this race. As I walked out the door my wife questioned my sanity leaving my house at 7:30am on a very rainy and windy Sunday morning. A 50 mile drive for a 5K Run. Like last year This was a well organized spirited event. The weather on the other hand was a Race Director's nightmare, yet everything was seamless as they were able to move all their pre- race and post race activities inside the school gym.The race supports the Aubrey Foundation which in turn donates proceeds towards an academic scholarship and Make -A -Wish foundation. There were plenty of vendor sponsors, adequate food, drink samples, activities for kids, random prizes as well as finishing medals. Room for Improvement The start of the race got off 10 minutes late. Mile markers were not visible. Limited age group categories for awards need to be expanded. For someone looking for a nice community supported event (but not a USATF-NJ sanctioned run) I would recommend this 5K Run. (Rumor has it they may move the 5K course into a nearby park next year)"
