The Oro Valley Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon Festival is a Triathlon race in Oro Vallley, Arizona consisting of a Sprint, and Duathlon race consisting of a Sprint
The Swim
The swim takes place at the BEAUTIFUL Oro Valley Aquatics Center at the base of the Catalina Mountains. The pool will set up for long course and you will serpentine swim (youth mini sprint and beginner sprint do not serpentine swim)
The Bike
The entire bike course is coned off from traffic and includes one dedicated car lane and bike lane for participants. Be prepared for some fast downhills and a couple short uphills.
The Run
The run is flat and fast (Duathlon participants will do one loop before the bike and two loops after the bike)
Great race except for the short swim. The swim is already short comparatively to the bike and run. So shortening it to a 400m puts swimmers at an even greater disadvantage. The bike and run are wonderful. Please go back to 800m swim next year.
