Mad Anthony Mud Run - Waynesboro, Virginia - Obstacle & Mud Runs

"Great start of the season"

Iave done some Spartan races so I wasnat too worried about obstacles or the running. I was worried about freezing my (word not allowed) off. It was all good though.

Itas a nice course with a bit of elevation change and good obstacles. For a February race, there More... was a fair amount of water and mud. Part of the course sends you through water drainage tunnels and freezing water that was probably a bit over the ankles. It was Right around freezing that day and a bit of a drizzle as I recall. With the running and I was dressed for the occasion, I didnat have any weather problem.

Everyone was released in one wave with faster folks up front. The runners out that day included people out for fun (nothing wrong with that), OCR enthusiasts doing their best (including me), and some great OCR folks.

Afterwards, there were some very welcome fires to warm up, music, and great craft beer. I neglected to mention earlier that this race is very reasonably priced. This is a very nice event with the weather adding a new dimension.
