The Forever Young Memorial 5K Color Run is a Obstacle & Mud Runs race in Evansdale, Iowa consisting of a 5K Novelty Run (Short).
Monies raised from the event are used to fund two $1,000 scholarships given annually to two students interested in pursuing post secondary education in a health science filed. To date we have given out $12,000 in scholarships.
The Forever Young Memorial 1M & 5K Color Run are in memory of Lindsay Nichols and Kelsey Lee. Lindsay was the victim of a domestic violence homicide in Jesup, Iowa in March 2012 and Kelsey passed away in December 2011 after a seven year battle with cancer. Both girls were classmates and 2008 graduates of Waterloo East High School. Lindsay graduated from Covenant School of Radiology and Kelsey graduated from Hawkeye CommunityKeep Reading
