North Lake Tahoe Spartan Ultra World Championship Weekend - Olympic Valley, California - Obstacle & Mud Runs

The North Lake Tahoe Spartan Ultra World Championship Weekend is a Obstacle & Mud Runs race in Olympic Valley, California consisting of a Beast - 21K - 30 Obstacles (Long) and Ultra - 50K - 60 Obstacles (Long).

This epic venue was once a host to the 1960 Olympic Winter Games. Spartans are in for an intense race full of twists, turns, slopes, and stunning views. With a surface elevation of 6,224 feet and a max elevation upwards of 9,000 feet; your lungs and quads better be ready for the long haul of rocky running on the slopes. The alpine swim promises a splash of fresh mountain water, and after the race, the Village is an awesome place to eat, shop and celebrate in the festival area.

This weekend will feature our Ultra World Championship race. The most resilient athletes from across the world will come together to take on 24 hours of grueling, obstacle dense racing. Who will come out on top? You'll have to meet us in North Lake Tahoe to find out. Also, for the first time ever this weekend will feature a 10K Night Ultra Lap event. Take on one lap of the Ultra to get a taste of the Ultra Championship experience, while also cheering on the 24 hour Ultra Spartans on course.

All finishers receive a T-shirt, medal and professional photos, and every registration comes with access to the Spartan Account to track your tickets, race results, photos, teams, and challenges.

This weekend also features Spartan Trail Race.

Spartan Beast is a half marathon, 30 obstacle race engineered to push you out of your comfort zone and right up to your limits. Competitors race through rugged, unpredictable terrain around the world as they tackle each of our signature obstacles. The Beast is a Spartan Trifecta eligible event.

Spartan Ultra is a 50 km, 60 obstacle race built to break your limits over the world's most difficult terrain. It's our most intense obstacle course race, but reaching the finish line will leave you with a euphoria that will transform your life. The Ultra is a Spartan Trifecta eligible event.
