On a hilly course that circles Fort Tryon Park and the historic Cloisters, runners are serenaded by musical groups playingayou guessed itasalsa, blues, and Irish folk music, plus gospel, merengue, and jazz!
Mile 1: Start at West 173rd Streetafive blocks north of the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armoryaand head north (and uphill) on Fort Washington Avenue. Run under the George Washington Bridge at 178th Street and continue uphill, then downhill, then uphill again.
Mile 2: Enter Fort Tryon Park and run a counter-clockwise loop of Margaret Corbin Road over rolling hills. />
Mile 3: Exit the park just past the two-mile mark and retrace your steps back down Fort Washington Avenue to the finish near 170th Street.
