This 15K race honors Ted Corbitt (1919a2007), the first president of New York Road Runners, the first African-American to compete in the Olympic marathon, and an ultramarathon pioneer who ran more than 200,000 miles in his lifetime!
The Ted Corbitt 15K starts on East Drive south of 102nd Street and head north to the 102nd Street Cross Drive. Turn left to run the length of the Cross Drive, then turn left again onto West Drive. Run south to the 72nd Street Transverse; turn left and cross the Transverse to East Drive. Turn left and head north, past the start.
