NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon - New York, New York - Running

The NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon is a Running race in New York, New York consisting of a Marathon.

Courses: The USATF-Certified, Boston Qualifying marathon will start around East 95th street, complete 5 lower loops of the park through the 102nd Street transverse , and then finish on the 102nd Street transverse. Marathon Map

Central Park Half Marathon course will take you on a beautiful tour of Central Park. The race begins on East Drive at 100th St. Runners will run across the 102nd St. transverse, turning left onto West Drive heading south. Runners will go around the bottom of the park and then head north on East Drive. Runners will then turn left at the 72nd St. transverse, running across the park to West Drive, where they will turn left on West Drive and head south around the bottom of the park. Runners will then head north on East Drive completing one full loop of the park (yes, that includes the Harlem Hills) and finishing on the 102nd St. transverse. Half-Marathon Map

Race Cap & Time Limit: This race is currently capped at 1500 runners. The official time limit is 5 hours and 15 minutes but as a rule of thumb the last thing we unplug is the finish line mat - take your chances over 5:15.

Awards: Awards and prize money will be given to the top three male and female runners overall as follows: $250 for 1st Place, $100 for 2nd Place, and $50 for 3rd Place. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female runners in each race and the top 3 in each ten year age group.
