This may only be a 5K, but the course is challenging with plenty of hills! The race director is wonderful and the little elementary school that the race supports is so sweet - several of the cross country students were also at the race. Great door prizes as well as age

- you don't need to get there as early as they say
- mentally challenging to pass the halfway mark with others finishing - as with almost all half/full marathon races
- good crowd support in the beginning, a bit less on the second half
- work in hill training - not

This is a really well run medium size race. There is one really big hill up to mile 3, but after that the next 10 miles are pretty easy, so just take it easy and don't plan on a PR for the first 3 miles and then enjoy the views. Some
