Marquette Marathon - Marquette, Michigan - Running

The Marquette Marathon is a Running race in Marquette, Michigan consisting of a Half Marathon and Kids Run/Fun Run and Marathon and 5K.

We invite you to spend your Labor Day weekend with us in Marquette, Michigan for the Annual Marquette Marathon and Half Marathon. Our marathon and half marathon courses both have significant elevation drops, visit multiple U.P. cities, and travel through gorgeous wooded scenery on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. And of course, the marathon is a Boston Qualifier. Our marathon and half marathon run on the scenic Ishpeming-to-Negaunee-to-Marquette route, which has received rave reviews from our runners. Both the full and half courses are not only breathtakingly beautiful but they are FAST! As you'll see in the course maps, there's a lot of downhill. Plentiful aid stations are located along the course.

The 5K runs a point-to-point course within Marquette, featuring a gorgeous Lake Superior view and the same downtown finish as the longer races. The Kids Fun Run leads off the race action on Friday in conjunction with the race expo.
