I've raced Coogans several times. NYRR is a great organization and the logistics of their 5ks like Coogans is impressive. Washington Heights has a lot of culture to be enjoyed during the race. Ft Tyron Park and upper Manhattan is fairly hilly, so this is NOT like racing

This was my first marathon, and my current home race. Registration is relatively inexpensive if you sign to early, which I appreciate. The expo and pickup were large and went smoothly. On race day, I wish they started later due to the cold of November mornings. I

"Fun 5k through Harlem. Great vibe from the runners and the crowd, and I always enjoy running through city streets and experiencing neighborhoods while pounding the pavement and working out. Ran this with friends and enjoyed the time.
