MLK Unity 5K - Southaven, Mississippi - Running

The MLK Unity 5K is a Running race in Southaven, Mississippi consisting of a 5K.

The MLK Unity 5K Run/Walk is in collaboration with the City of Southaven and has been supported by the Southaven Mayor's office, Mayor's Youth Council, local churches and citizens of DeSoto County. This event began as a small walk but has grown into an annual tradition and since has expanded into a 5K Run/Walk. Its purpose is to celebrate unity among peers and the value added by asking all ethnic groups to recognize the ties that bind us all together with people from all walks of life to work together as one group.

Onsite registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. on race day and the race will start at 8:30 a.m. If you register the day of the race, you must pay in CASH. If you have pre-registered you can pick up your packet the day before the race between noon and 5:00 p.m. at the event location.

The results of the 5K race will be professionally scored by Best Times utilizing ChronoTrack chip timing. We will have separate age divisions, male and female, with awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division. There will be an overall award given to the male and female with the fastest times
