Here is your chance to be a part of the most awaited international triathlon race of INDIA: 1.9km Swim, 90km Bike and 21.1km Run.
Sports Destination of INDIA
Goa is a state in western India with coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea. Its long history as a Portuguese colony prior to 1961 is evident in its preserved 17th-century churches and the area's tropical spice plantations. Goa is also known for its beaches, ranging from popular stretches at Baga and Palolem to those in laid-back fishing villages such as Agonda. A bustling area within the capital Panjim, Miramar centers on its namesake beach, a palm-lined strip where shacks sell local fashion, jewelry, and food. Cozy diners offer traditional Goan fare, trendy cafes dish up wood-fired pizzas, and upscale hotel restaurants serve western and Indian dishes.
1.9km Swim
The swim course is a 1-lap triangular 1.9km swim in the serene waters of Miramar Beach which includes a 750m swim out, a 400m turn right, and another 750m swim back to the start. The course would be a 1-lap clockwise flow of swimmers and with the rolling swim start will offer a smoother, safer and more efficient swim experience for all our athletes.
90km Bike
The 3-lap, 90km bike course starts at Miramar Circle, moves along the outskirts of quaint Panaji, and proceeds to the Divja Circle from where athletes take the slight left and get onto the Ribandar Causeway and cycle along the scenic Mandovi River. They take a U-turn at the end of Ribandar Causeway and come back to the Divja Circle from where they turn left onto the 3-lane National Highway. They enjoy a gradual climb, passing the Bambolim Stadium on their left. This takes them toward the new over-bridge overlooking a stunning landscape and lush greenery on either side of AgaA§iam village. After reaching the first U-turn point on the National Highway, athletes return to the Divja Circle, take their second U-turn there, and head towards the Ribandar Causeway. Post repeating this twice, athletes finally head towards Miramar Circles and enter transition. The bike course is a closed road race to ensure that contestants are not impacted by civilian traffic.
21km Run
The run course is a 3-lap, 21km run which will begin at Miramar Circle, go past Dona Paula circle to take a right heading to a u-turn point about 500m towards Raj Bhavan Road, and come back to Dona Paula circle to the start point and repeat the entire lap twice again. The run course is a closed road race to ensure that you are not impacted by civilian traffic.
