Swim
The ROKA Swim course is a 1.9km swim in the calm waters of Corio bay where March water temperatures average just over 18 degrees Celsius, so have those wetsuits ready! The race starts on the beach using a wave start format before athletes swim 800 metres out into the bay to make their first right hand turn of the swim course. Athletes then head another 700m back towards shore for another right hand turn and after a further 300m they then make a final left hand turn to start the last 100m to shore, before beginning the short run into transition.
Bike
The Bike Course is a 90km, 2 lap course where you'll get a chance to head out along the open roads of Geelong. After exiting transition onto Ritchie Boulevard, get ready for your first climb of the day as you head towards the top of Eastern Beach road for some great views of Geelong. Navigate your way through the picturesque Eastern Park Circuit before getting a chance to open up those legs as you turn onto Ryrie Street. Athletes make a sweeping left hand turn onto Point Henry Road that takes you out past the salt lakes and to the Northern tip of the Bay. Athletes then head back down South and make another left hand turn to get back onto Port Arlington Road where it's a straight shot towards the Curlewis Golf Club where you'll turn around, head back towards town and do it all over again!
Run
The 21.1km HOKA Run Course takes athletes along the stunning Geelong waterfront during the 2.5 lap course. The clockwise course takes you out along the Esplanade and through Rippleside Park before heading inbound along the stunning water's edge. Head back past the iconic Geelong Pier before running under the famous Geelong Star as you receive cheers of support from the TriClub Village in Ritchie Boulevard. Head back past transition up to the top of Hearne Parade to the far run turn, which means only 1.5laps to go! On your final lap you'll make a right hand turn into Steampacket Gardens where'll you'll finally get to cross that finish line!
