The race passes through beautiful rural countryside. Emergency workers with flashing lights provide safety at intersections. Four years ago, this was my first marathon so it will always hold a special place in my heart! Great cheerleaders on the side lines, relatively flat course and great aide stations. The course is constantly changing and I wasn't a huge fan of the Pentagon parking lot this year before

We had a nice time. There is nothing big and asplashya� about this event. You show up and do your thing. Staff along the run were super friendly and pointed out tripping hazards and flagged traffic. Their cheering us on was appreciated. The long sleeve shirts are nice.
