I was excited to try this race last June as several friends have tried it and liked it. I paid in full for the race but then my aunt died a few days before race day and her funeral was scheduled for the day of the race. i emailed the race

Nothing super special about the race itself (although, it was wonderfully flat) but it was pretty cool as part of the Nebraska State Fair. You can basically run the race, take a shower (they offer free showers there), and then wander the state fair eating fried oreos and other fun

This was a well-organized race with fantastic on-course support. It was really warm (72 degrees and sunny!) and I appreciated the abundant water stations, which usually isn't something I notice. The course has gorgeous views of the ocean outbound along Highway 101, and then you come back on the inner portion
