The 53 Strong DeAthlon will be held at Marvin Town Centre in Waxhaw, NC. The DeAngelo Williams Foundation's DeAthlon event isn't your traditional run-bike-run, it's a run-bike-FUN course. DeAthletes can choose between the 3.4 mile run and three different ride distances...not ready for both?... you can also sign up to do just the 5K or just one of the bike rides. The DeAthlon race consists of a 3.4 mile run (timed at the traditional 5K distance) followed by either a 20 supported bike ride, a 34 mile ride with one timed segment or a 53 mile ride with two timed segments...all with a memory gameKeep Reading along the bike route that will test the mind, body, and sole (ya see what we did there?) The distances are accolades to DeAngelo's jersey numbers while playing football, 34 with the Panthers and Steelers and 20 while playing for the University of Memphis Tigers.
