Discover Downtown 5K - Columbia, Maryland - Running

The Discover Downtown 5K is a Running race in Columbia, Maryland consisting of a Kids Run/Fun Run and 1 Mile and 5K.

Follow the Landmarks to Discover Downtown Columbia in our inaugural race. The Downtown Columbia Partnership and Howard County Library System are excited for the third annual Discover Downtown Columbia Running Event. This exciting run winds through many iconic landmarks of Downtown Columbia, both old and new, including The Mall In Columbia, Symphony Woods, Merriweather Post Pavilion, past the Howard County Central Library and onto the Columbia Association's new pathway around Lake Kittamaqundi. Runners tackling the 5k will take off from the Plaza at The Mall in Columbia at 9:07 AM, following our Fun Run younglings at 9 AM. The Finish Line will be at the People Tree on the Downtown Lakefront and post-race festivities are in the works for a fun and festive celebration.
