I love this race! I don't know of another one that goes through Rio Vista, and it's a beautiful route. Always organized - never any problems. Plenty of water, support, etc.
Champagne Brunch and food afterwards was great too.

This is one of the oldest races in Vermont and has great history and character. It is mostly on dirt roads and there is a gradual uphill toward the turn around making the last half feel easier than the first half. Don't expect a lot of hoopla, but it is pleasant

All the distances of this race are worth running. The trails at Independence Oaks are challenging and the Back Roads are rolling hills. The scenery is gorgeous at this time of year, and the after party is great, with music, the famous Union Mac n cheese (the Clarkston Union was featured
