About The Tour the Montour Trail Ride
The Tour the Montour Trail Ride is a Cycling race in Virtual. Coraopolis, Pennsylvania consisting of a Recreational Event - 6 Miles and 12 Miles and 24 Miles and 44 Miles and 62 Miles.
Tour the Montour is a non-competitive fundraising ride. It offers a fun family Saturday event as well as rides for the more-serious cyclist. Ride lengths vary from a short distance to 62 miles (a metric 100). Rest stops with fruit, snacks and beverages are placed along the course. A great post-ride lunch won't disappoint. SAG (support and gear) patrol is provided along the Trail. And we're famous for our fabulous commemorative T-shirts, door prizes, raffles, and great times with fellow cyclists. We suggest that you ride with a friend!
For safety reasons, no headphones allowed and helmets are mandatory. The Tour the Montour takes place rain or shine. The MontourKeep Reading Trail is a planned 60 mile multi-use non-motorized recreational rail-trail system near Pittsburgh, PA. It will ultimately have 46 continuous miles from Coraopolis to Clairton. Multiple sections of the trail system totaling 47 miles are completed, and new sections are added each year.
The trail is paved with a smooth surface of crushed limestone, which makes it ideal for all forms of non-motorized use: bicycling, walking, running, cross-country skiing, and nature appreciation. In certain sections, horseback riding is also permitted, but not on the improved trail surface.
A portion of the trail within Peters Township is called The Arrowhead Trail. It is owned and maintained by the Township.
