The West Elk Bicycle Classic is a Cycling race in Gunnison, Colorado consisting of a Gran Fondo - 52 Miles and 135 Miles.
The Westy is the premier big ride in Colorado. 135 miles. Gunnison to Crested Butte. Miles of smooth pavement on back roads past vast canyons and vistas. Long descents and brutal long climbs on gravel. It will be hard. You will never forget it.
Not up for 135 mi? Try our Raghorn Loop starting and ending in Crested Butte. This is a classic ride. "Only 52 mi" but with a steep section of gravel that may have you walking if you aren't careful as you climb through the Aspens over one of the most dramatic passes in the state.
All routes are timed. Race or just take it in.Keep Reading
