The Chimpathon 16K is a Running race in Fort Pierce, Florida consisting of a 16K.
Our race starts and finishes at St. Lucie County Fairgrounds on Florida's Treasure Coast where friends and family can cheer you on. After leaving the fairgrounds, you'll use circular ramps to access an aerial sidewalk, travel down a country road and run or walk a 1-1/2 mile lap through Save the Chimps, the world's largest sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees.
This is an amazing race through the normally closed to the public chimp sanctuary. A fairly easy out and back 10 mile-ish course. The chimps are at about the halfway point which was a treat. Several were out watching us with excitement. 👍👍
