The Catalina Island Eco Marathon is a Running race in Avalon, California consisting of a Half Marathon and Kids Run/Fun Run and Marathon and 10K.
We welcome you, the athlete, to one of the most beautiful marathons that you will ever run in the United States. The Catalina Eco Marathon will start and finish in the town of Avalon, no morning boats to catch, no seas to worry about, just a leisurely stroll to the start line and back into town after 26.2 miles of some of the most beautiful, rugged and breathtaking trails you will experience.
During the course of the marathon, you will traverse single track trails, ridgelines, and vistas that will afford views of the Pacific Ocean - from BOTH sides of the island. You will run through three entirely different eco-systems
