Benefits Care for the Cure Foundation presents the Care to Carry on 5k Run/Walk to benefit Camp ErinA-Philadelphia.
Camp ErinA-Philadelphia, facilitated by the Penn Wissahickon Hospice, is a local weekend overnight camp for children and teens who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life. This free camp combines traditional, fun, high-energy camp activities with the grief education and support the kids and teens need to carry on after a loss, in a healthy way.
Pay Tribute to whom you Care to Carry on for What makes Camp Erin so different than any other bereavement camp are the special rituals campers participate in throughout camp to memorialize their loved one; candle light ceremony, memory board, luminaries, just to name a few. To carry on with that tradition, we at Care for the Cure Foundation would like to incorporate our own ritual in this event. We invite you to pay tribute to whomever you Care to Carry on for; whether itas in support of the Camp Erin Kids, Childrenas Grief Awareness and/or in Commemoration of someone you may have lost. The online registration form includes an option to list your personas name, which will be displayed on race day and then at the Annual Camp in May 2015. It would be amazing for the campers to see how many people in our local community support them!
Parking: Parking is not included in your registration/spectator fee, but is available for $15/vehicle. Please park in the Zoo Garage on Girard Avenue. Parking can be paid for at the Zooas Box Office, turnstile kiosks, and upon exiting the parking lot. Zoo members are allowed to use their membership cards for parking during events.
