"Great course. I know people complained about the location of the number pickup. Unless you live in Dumbo, the pickup location is pretty out of the way. This is the first run I know about where the race organizers let you send a 'proxy' to pickup your number if you gave them a copy of your ID, so that was helpful. It also is a super early start, but you get to finish nice and early. Otherwise, it's well organized and lots of supporters along the course. I would reccomend it to a friend.
The Brooklyn Half Marathon is a Running race in Brooklyn, New York consisting of a Half Marathon.
The Airbnb Brooklyn Half, the largest half-marathon in the country, is an iconic 13.1-mile journey through an ever-popular borough. A PR-producing, spectator-friendly course from leafy Prospect Park to the Coney Island boardwalk isn't all it's got. A three-day Pre-Party at Brooklyn Bridge Park kicks it off, and an After-Party at MCU Park keeps the celebration going.
Start near the Brooklyn Museum and run past the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and around Grand Army Plaza before entering Prospect Park. After a loop around the park, exit from the southwest corner onto Ocean Parkway and cruise toward the world-famous Coney Island for a triumphant finish on the boardwalk.

"Ran this race in 2012 and 2013, and plan to run in 2014. It's a nice half -- pretty flat with just a few small areas of elevation. The course is a little boring -- you run straight down Ocean Parkway for a large chunk (maybe 6 miles or More...
