The Brian Kraft Memorial 5K is a Running race in Minneapolis, Minnesota consisting of a 5K.

Hundreds of runners come to Minneapolis each year to run in the annual Brian Kraft Memorial 5K. Brian Kraft was a promising young runner, when at the age of 19 he was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of blood cancer, in his back. The diagnosis may have cut Brian's competitive career short, but it hardly stopped him from running. In fact, over the next 15 years Brian could be found running around the lakes and parkways and immersing himself in the local running community before passing away in 1997.

It is in honor of Brian, and those struggling with Ewing's sarcoma, that the Brian Kraft Memorial 5K is run. Each year runners, even those that never knew Brian, run this race to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. The results have not gone unnoticed, as promising research and cancer therapy has advanced thanks to the dedication of the runners that run in this race. Brian never stopped running, and it is in that spirit that the Brian Kraft Memorial 5K continues to be held each year.
