Nothing super special about the race itself (although, it was wonderfully flat) but it was pretty cool as part of the Nebraska State Fair. You can basically run the race, take a shower (they offer free showers there), and then wander the state fair eating fried oreos and other fun

The crowds make this race amazing and unforgettable. As this was my slowest marathon, I expected the spectators to thin out but I'm was a 5+hr marathoner and for more than half the course the streets were still lined with people who cheer like crazy. It makes you feel racing for

Due to confusion about the course, this race was a complete disaster. Runners being sent down the wrong streets, backtracking, running into others going the wrong way...could they have screwed it up any more? Most of the 5K runners ended up running about 2.3 miles, that is, if they didn't fall
