Famous Idaho Potato Marathon - Boise, Idaho - Running

The Famous Idaho Potato Marathon is a Running race in Boise, Idaho consisting of a Marathon and Half Marathon and 5K and 10K.

The YMCA Famous Idaho Potato Marathon, presented by the Idaho Potato Commission, is a fun full marathon, half marathon, 10K or 5K course along the Boise, Idaho greenbelt. All courses are flat and fast! This marathon can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Bring the entire family out for this event! We have a distance that will work for everyone.
Enjoy a Famous Idaho Potato Bar with all the fix'ns after the race prepared by Life's Kitchen for all race participants.
All distances receive medals!

Water/Aid Stations: These will be located along the full marathon course approximately every two miles through mile 20, and approximately every mile thereafter. Half marathon, 10k, and 5k runners will have aid stations at least once every two miles. Gatorade is our exclusive sport beverage for the water stations.

Marathon
Point-to-point 26.2 mile run, starting at Lucky Peak State Park a Sandy Point and finishing at Albertsons Headquarter Parking Lot.

Half-Marathon
Point-to-point 13.1 mile run, starting at Lucky Peak State Park a Sandy Point and finishing at Albertsons Parking Lot.

10 Kilometer Details: Point-to-point 6.2 mile race, starting at the Albertsons Headquarters parking lot on Parkcenter Blvd and finishing in the same location.

5 Kilometer Details: Point-to-point 3.1 mile race, starting at the Albertsons Headquarters parking lot on Parkcenter Blvd and finishing in the same location.

Strollers are welcome, they must start in the back of the pack.
We will do our best to accommodate any wheelchair or special needs competitors.
Headphones are okay on the course. We ask that you be aware of your surrounding on the course and encourage you to remove your headphones when running on the road.
