The Ultimate Towner is about as much fun as you can have on a Sunday in May in Jackson Hole. I've been participating in the Ultimate Towner since it started in 2012 and it just keeps getting better every year. This is not a grueling sufferfest like the Tough Mudder

This is one of the oldest races in Vermont and has great history and character. It is mostly on dirt roads and there is a gradual uphill toward the turn around making the last half feel easier than the first half. Don't expect a lot of hoopla, but it is pleasant

The course goes through the Delaware Valley University campus. You will run on mostly macadam through the agricultural area passing by corrals with horses and newly minted colts and Phillys. There was a beer truck afterwards which was great.
