5K River Run - Lowell, Massachusetts - Running

The 5K River Run is a Running race in Lowell, Massachusetts consisting of a 5K.

Join us for the annual 5k River Run that the Greater Lowell Family YMCA will be holding. The 5k starts at the Tsongas Center and takes you on a down and back course along the Merrimack River. We still are using these funds to have scholarships for the cognitively impaired at the Lowell YMCA and to continue to run the healthy bodies program that is a program specific to the cognitively impaired. We currently offer fitness programming and membership scholarships for the cognitively impaired to help keep this disenfranchised group healthy and active. We have found that most of these individuals can not afford to pay for guided fitness programming. It will be a traditional 3.106mile/5 kilometer run that will end with a health fair/festival that will bring local businesses and support services together to show the Lowell community what Lowell has to offer!
